Folk medicinal uses

They are commonly made into a tea to provide a drink which is also considered valuable for indigestion and flatulence. The leaves are used either dry or fresh. In African Lippia spp. Are employed for a variety of complaints, including colds, fevers, colic, dysentery, as a laxative and tonic.
